There’s something about sunflowers and gingham that just makes me smile! This sunflower thank you card brings them together with warm golden colors, a little texture, and a greeting that lets someone know they’re appreciated.
I used the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create the flowers and leaves. The finished card has several layers, but each one is a simple rectangle—no tricky cutting required.

Details That Make This Sunflower Thank You Card Special
Golden Glow cardstock gives this card a cheerful starting point. A thin Early Espresso mat frames the Basic White background and helps those lighter layers stand out.
I embossed the white background with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, then added a strip of 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper across the middle. The gingham adds a pop of pattern while leaving plenty of room for the flowers to shine.
Coloring the Sunflowers
I stamped the sunflowers and leaves in Memento ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored them with Golden Glow, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
After die cutting the images, I arranged them along the left side of the greeting panel. Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the flowers give the arrangement a little lift.
If coloring feels intimidating, keep it simple. Start with a lighter shade and add a little darker color where you want depth. Your flowers don’t need to match perfectly—that’s part of the charm of a handmade card!
Finishing the Card
The “Thank You” greeting comes from the Scalloped Blooms stamp set. I stamped it in Early Espresso on the right side of the Basic White panel, leaving room for the sunflower arrangement on the left.
A Golden Glow mat ties the greeting panel back to the card base. Three Natural Matte Dots finish the card with a little extra detail.
