Thinking About Joining Stampin’ Up!?
Maybe you love making handmade cards and want to save on your favorite products. Maybe you’re looking for more inspiration. Or maybe you’re simply wondering what becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is really all about.
Whatever brought you here, I’m so glad you stopped by.
Hi, I’m Gwen!
I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for over 18 years, and one of my greatest joys is helping people discover how relaxing and rewarding card making can be.
Some people join for the discount. Others join because they love creating handmade cards or want to be part of a welcoming creative community.
Whatever your reason, there is no pressure here. My goal is simply to help you decide if joining is the right fit for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t see your question here, please reach out. I’m happy to help.
Do I have to sell Stampin’ Up! products?
No. Many people join simply because they love the products and want the discount. You can be a hobby demonstrator without holding classes, hosting events, or running a business.
Can I join just for the discount?
Absolutely. Many demonstrators join for the discount, early access to products, and the fun of being part of a creative community.
What comes with the Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit?
The Starter Kit is one of the best values Stampin’ Up! offers. You pay $100 and receive a $125 Starter Kit coupon to use toward your first product purchase.
Beginning July 1, first-time demonstrators also receive a brand-new Welcome Box filled with fun and useful items to help you feel welcomed and ready to create.
What is included in the new Welcome Box?
The Welcome Box is designed especially for first-time demonstrators. It includes a welcome letter, pop-up pen case, coordinating pen, pop-up desktop trash can, full-size Clear Block, Stampin’ Spot, exclusive card kit, language-specific stamp set, and Angel Policy stamp.
Who receives the Welcome Box?
The Welcome Box is available for first-time demonstrators who join on or after July 1.
If you were previously a demonstrator and are rejoining, the Welcome Box is not included.
Do I have to choose my Starter Kit products right away?
No. With the updated joining process, you complete your application first. After you are officially a demonstrator, you receive your Starter Kit coupon and can shop at your own pace.
I love this because it makes the process feel much less overwhelming.
Can I spend more than my Starter Kit coupon?
Yes. If your order is more than the value of your Starter Kit coupon, you can still receive your demonstrator discount on the additional products you purchase.
How long do I stay a demonstrator?
As long as you meet Stampin’ Up!’s quarterly minimums, you can remain active as a demonstrator. If you are joining mainly for the discount, I can help explain how that works in a simple, no-pressure way.
What if I do not meet the quarterly minimum?
If you do not meet the quarterly minimum, your demonstrator account may end. You would simply return to being a customer. There is no penalty or pressure.
I was a demonstrator before. Can I rejoin?
Absolutely. If you were previously a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you are welcome to rejoin.
With the updated policy, there is now a 45-day waiting period after your demonstrator account ends before you can rejoin.
Once that 45-day waiting period has passed, you may choose any demonstrator as your team leader, including me.
Can I change my Stampin’ Up! team leader?
If you are currently an active demonstrator, you cannot simply switch team leaders while remaining active.
However, if your demonstrator account ends, there is now a 45-day waiting period. After that waiting period, you may rejoin and choose a different team leader if you would like.
What is the Travelingstamper Caravan?
The Travelingstamper Caravan is my Stampin’ Up! team community. It is a welcoming place for hobby stampers, discount shoppers, and anyone who may want to grow a creative business at their own pace.
There is no pressure here. Just encouragement, simple ideas, helpful reminders, and a community of people who enjoy paper crafting.
Do I have to teach classes or do videos?
No. You do not have to teach classes, go live, make videos, or run a business unless you want to.
Your Stampin’ Up! journey can be as simple or as involved as you want it to be.
Is joining Stampin’ Up! right for me?
Joining may be a good fit if you love making handmade cards, enjoy Stampin’ Up! products, want to save money on your supplies, or would like to be part of a creative community.
If you are not sure, I would be happy to answer your questions and help you decide if it makes sense for you.
