Frequently Asked Questions About Stampin' Up!

Thinking about joining Stampin’ Up!? You’re in the right place! Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. Whether you’re looking for a discount on your favorite products or a creative business opportunity, you’ll find everything you need to know here.

If you still have questions, feel free to email me at gwen@travelingstamper.com — I’m always happy to help.

How much do I need to sell or buy to remain an active demonstrator?

To remain active, you’ll need $300 in retail sales each quarter. If you’re joining as a hobby demonstrator just to enjoy the discount, that $300 actually costs you only $240 out of pocket, because your 20% demonstrator discount covers the rest.

Most stampers easily meet that amount by ordering supplies for themselves, friends, or card-making classes.

I was a demonstrator before. Can I rejoin?

Yes, absolutely!

  • If it’s been more than three months since you dropped, you can rejoin under any demonstrator.

  • If it’s been less than three months, you’ll need to rejoin under your previous upline.

Either way, I’d love to welcome you back to the Traveling Stamper Roadies team!

When are Stampin’ Up!’s quarters?

Stampin’ Up! operates on a calendar quarter system:

  • January – March

  • April – June

  • July – September

  • October – December

Here’s the best part — the quarter you join in is waived!
That means your first $300 minimum requirement isn’t due until the end of the next quarter.

Example: If you join in October 2025, you’ll have until March 31, 2026 to meet your first minimum.

What happens if I don’t meet my quarterly minimum?

No worries! If you don’t meet your $300 minimum by the end of a quarter, you’ll move into Pending Status for one month. During this time, you still enjoy all your demonstrator benefits and can catch up on your sales or orders.

If you haven’t met your $300 by the end of the pending month, your demonstrator status will simply deactivate — no penalties, no pressure, and you keep everything from your Starter Kit.

Do my personal orders count toward my minimum?

Yes! Your own purchases absolutely count toward your quarterly minimum. And since you receive a 20% discount, spending $300 in product only costs you $240.

When can I start placing orders?

As soon as you receive your Demonstrator ID number and login information from Stampin’ Up!, you can place your first order right away — no waiting!

What is my discount?

You’ll start with a 20% discount (also known as your “instant income”). Once you reach the title of Bronze Elite, your discount increases to 25%.

Do I have to sell to other people?

Nope! Many demonstrators join just to enjoy the discount and early access to new products.

There’s no sales quota and no pressure — Stampin’ Up! supports you whether you’re a hobby stamper or want to build a business.
