I was trying a new technique with shimmer paint and realized how this technique really showed the detail from the Seashells Embossing Folder. Just adding a little shimmer paint to the purple posy cardstock made not only the paper shine but it brought out so much detail of the seashells. I used my blending bushes and blended a light coat of the shimmer paint onto the purple posy cardstock. Once the paint dried I ran the cardstock through the Stamp’ Cut & Emboss machine using the Seashells 3D embossing folder. It turned out so sparkly, I couldn’t believe the detail that came through.
When I was looking for an embellishment I remembered that Stampin’ Up! had come out with some amazing pastel pearls. I couldn’t believe how well these matched the paper. How fun will it be to make matching cardstock for each of the colors of the pearls? This is a really fun technique. Have you used any paint on your cardstock before?
